COVID-19 Guidelines

As of December 3rd 2021, New Zealand has moved into the traffic light system in response to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. Please read below information regarding shopping at our stores.

 

Contactless Deliveries:

We will be taking extra precautions with our delivery team to ensure that your safety and the safety of our team is paramount. Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer will be used by our delivery team after each delivery and safe distance practices will be applied including the use of face masks.

Our delivery drivers will keep a safe 2-3m distance and will deliver your products in an easily accessible area near the entrance.

We are unfortunately unable to offer our assembly services. If you wish for your item to be assembled, that’s totally fine we can organize to re-arrange your delivery for when restrictions are lifted.

We will take a photo of the delivered items rather than asking for a signature.

 

Contact less Click & Collect:

Contactless Click & Collect will be available from our Auckland Distribution Centre located in Wiri.

Once you have arrived, we will place your items in a designated section in the carpark for you to load into your vehicle.

The customers must ensure they have sufficient help to carry furniture from our warehouse to their vehicle. Health & safety policies prohibit AEQ Furniture staff from lifting furniture outside our warehouse.

We will take a photo of the delivered items rather than asking for a signature.

 

What we are doing in our stores?

Extra cleaning procedures including daily disinfecting of all work surfaces including sales counters, customer kiosks, computer workstations and staffroom.

Disinfecting door handles, eftpos machines and frequently touched surfaces multiple times per day with alcohol wipes.

Providing disposable disinfectant wipes, tissues and hand sanitizer at the sales counter and computer kiosks located throughout the store.

Our staff will be wearing masks and following safe distance practices when dealing with customers in store and during deliveries.

All of our staff have been clearly communicated the ministry of health guidelines and any of our team that feel unwell or are at risk, are being asked to remain at home and report to the Ministry of Health Healthline for guidance.

What you can do?

Use the hand sanitizer provided in store. We recommend using hand sanitizer on arrival and when you leave the store.

In line with the government’s recent legislation, our customers are legally required to wear a face covering when visiting any of our stores (unless granted a medical exemption).

If you are unwell or have recently traveled overseas and are in self isolation, use our website rather than coming in store or contact one of our team so we can help you remotely.

If you are unhappy with the practices of our team during a delivery, then give sales representative a call. We will act as soon as we can to ensure we are putting your safety and the safety of our team first.
